ABOUT TWO POTATO
About us
Two Potato was founded in Laguna Beach, California 1969. The original dress was structured as a float dress called a MuMu from Hawaiian descent. Its sales focused in beach & resort towns. Thus the term "float dress" became a national apparel identifier that ladies enjoyed. From coastal cities, to inland stores, numerous Mall stores, Department stores, smaller boutiques, ladies sought out Two Potato wherever available.
Hawaiia of course commanded the scene as well as the California beach towns. Canadian stores sought out the Two Potato collections for their warmer climates. And, sooner, the Euroean market opened up.
Time introduced the purchasing power of Catalogs which brought our float dresses to ladies from all walks of life.
As the original founders have passed on, Two Potato has developed into a National website called TWOPOTATO.BIZ .. where today the entire dress line provides our collections in the comfort of your home. No retail store carries our collections.
we have maintained to produce our collections HERE in AMERICA from its original setting in California.
Our goals are to design, cut, sew, and sell from out website in our own couontry..Made in America. Our fabrics are especially unique, colored dyed with lasting comfort & popularity.
Yes, we do use Crinkle Cotton as our basic material for well over 4 decades.
